(Press Release) – September 16, 2011 – Willoughby, OH, Who knew that a stroll through downtown Willoughby could take on a totally different personality in the misty twilight? Many of the most historic locations in Willoughby, Ohio are reported to be haunted. Several different local paranormal investigation groups have even reported paranormal activity in the haunted buildings of Willoughby. Now in its fourth season, the Willoughby Ghost Walk leads casual guided walks that last about 90 minutes or so through the heart of the downtown area. Spooky tales of the paranormal history of Willoughby are revealed on this exciting and fun Ghost Walk. The Willoughby Ghost Walk takes you to some of the most notable historic places in the city and blends humor and surprising historical facts, human interest along with our most enduring legends and haunted tales to give you an opportunity to experience it for yourself. Many people have captured orbs and strange mists in their photos as they attend the walk. Even strange apparitions in the windows have been recorded.
"Our spirits are dying to meet you! People have reported feeling or hearing something near them on the Ghost Walk that can’t be seen! Many things have been experienced that can’t be explained such as loud banging sounds or light ghostly touches. The Ghost Walk has proven over and over again that we may not be alone on our tour. The ghosts of the City of Willoughby seem eager to cooperate to prove we are a town filled with both a rich history and lots of spiritual activity", said Cathi Weber, owner and creator of the Willoughby Ghost Walk.
Tours are offered on weekends and prepaid reservations are required. Reservations can be made at www.willoughbyghostwalk.com or by calling (440) 710-4140. Ghost walks are $10 for adults and $5 for children. The Willoughby Ghost Walk begins at the Masonic Building in downtown Willoughby. Ghost Walks take place 6 months out of the year - weather permitting.
